Construction contract administration is one of the most important aspects of the building process. At Southern A&E, we assign seasoned construction professionals for each project to administer the construction contract on behalf of the Owner. Our contract administrators make certain the contractor's work meets the requirements of the drawings and specifications. During the construction process, our design team of architects, engineers, interior designers and food service designers are always available to assist our contract administrators.

Contract administrators make site visits to verify compliance with construction documents and provide written reports to keep clients informed of the construction progress. Engineering and additional design team members make periodic site visits, depending on the stage of construction, to verify compliance with the construction documents. Contract administrators are also responsible for reviewing and processing shop drawings, pay requests, change orders, requests for information and product substitution approvals.

In short, contract administrators are your advocate and will fairly administer the construction contract on your behalf.
