Education Architecture - Elementary School Design
Our collective experience, knowledge, and creativity are applied to produce elementary school designs that have their own distinctive flavor, fulfill the schools program needs and meet the communitys expectations. Southern A&E designers take the time to listen to our clients needs and meet their educational specifications. As with all of our school designs, attention is given to the needs children have for a secure, nurturing environment for learning.
Some typical features of a Southern A&E elementary design are:
- the use of bright colors on the interior
- minimal use of stairs in order to facilitate easier access for small children
- age appropriate ADA compliance for a younger student population
- indoor/outdoor play areas
- controlled access for safety
- larger student drop-off/pick-up areas to facilitate efficiency and ease of use
- separate parent and bus areas to provide optimal safety and traffic control
