Our Benefits ...
If an employee has to worry about what happens when he or she is sick, has personal matters to tend to or if something catastrophic happens then they cannot fully commit themselves to their work. To offset some of these worries, Southern A & E has developed the following benefits package: long-term disability coverage, travel insurance, company paid term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment. We also offer a choice of three medical plan options (two HMOs and a PPO) which helps employees better align coverage with individual needs and budget.

In addition, we offer a generous leave package and comprehensive 401(k) investment plan. Our leave includes two weeks of paid vacation, nine paid holidays and a flexible sick leave plan. For retirement, Southern A & E believes planning is critical and encourages each of its employees to take ownership of that responsibility. Our 401(k) plan is provided through Charles Schwab and offers 14 different mutual fund investments that cover wide range of asset classes.

Our Work Environment ...
Quality of work life is a focus at Southern A & E. We provide flexible work schedules, an atmosphere that encourages creativity and business casual dress each day. We host several events throughout the year to build team morale and camaraderie. Our social events committee also plans and organizes fun activities throughout the year for everyone’s enjoyment (see some of our events below).

Our Company is also very committed to philanthropic activities in our community and supports several ongoing programs such as Secret Santa and a holiday food donation drive.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5k (2011 Team)
Southern A & E was proud to send a team to the 2011 Race for the Cure held at Atlantic Station on Saturday, May 7th.  Employees participating included: Jan Adams, Wes Farnan, Julie Griffin, Elizabeth Harmon, Ladi Lumpkin, Christopher Novack and Eric Spell.

Homes For Our Troops 2011 Charity Drive
Southern A & E was proud to raise money for the charitable foundation of Homes For Our Troops.  This organization strives to provide wounded veterans with specially adapted homes.  Southern A & E's employees contributed $10,150 to the organization while the company itself matched all donations up to $2,500 for a total contribution of $12,650.
