In the summer of 2011, Southern A & E completed Habersham Central High School for the Habersham County School District.  The high school contains 83 instructional units and has a  total square footage of 300,600.   When designing the new high school, Southern A & E openly incorporated sustainability into the features of the school.  Glue free carpet tiles were used throughout and natural light was incorporated by the use of large windows in each of the schools corridors.  Environment friendly LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) was used in the main atrium, cool metal roofing was applied to the exterior of the school and high efficiency, energy recovery HVAC units were used.  Some of the unique labs students can choose from include: an automotive technology lab, child care, R.O.T.C., agriculture, culinary arts and construction.  The high school also features a gymnasium that holds 2,000 fans with a connecting practice gymnasium and a 650 seat auditorium.
