Marshall University AthleticsIn 2008, Southern A & E renovated the lower level of the Shewey Athletic Center located in the stadium's north endzone. The complex includes the Thundering Herd's locker room, meeting rooms, sports medicine training facility, and coaches offices. Adjacent to the complex Southern &E designed a new state-of-the-art 13,000-square foot weight training facility. The complex was completed in July of 2006 and provides the Thundering Herd with one of the nation's finest weight training facilities in division one athletics.
